Overview
Music has always been a part of my life while growing up ... and now, being able to teach young children music, is a wonderful dream come true.

I have been extremely lucky to be able to train with Yurgen Ilaender, also known as “Mr. I,” who has been teaching and entertaining children since 1982. My training allows for me to teach Mr. I’s Musical Rainbow Program which uses the Kodaly Methodology.

Since 2006 in Vancouver and surrounding area, specifically Coquitlam, I have developed my own teaching philosophy through working with many young children in preschools and daycare centres. Most importantly, what I passionately believe in, is to teach the children to love and respect music as well as to love and respect one another, and to have them think critically and creatively about classical music by the great composers. Also I wish to teach children to feel the music through their bodies to reinforce the child’s ability to identify and keep the beat of the music. My hope is to inspire young children to love music and for them to make music a part of their lives.
